Managing Partner
Yuko Mizuno
She began her career at Mott MacDonald Japan, a technical consulting firm, where she joined as a trainee. Through a METI-supported program, she was seconded to Adaro Energy, one of Indonesia’s largest coal mining companies.
In 2013, she joined IDI Group as a consultant, contributing to overseas coal-fired IPP (Independent Power Producer) projects.
In August 2014, she co-founded PHOTON Group, where she has since led the development of about 200 MW of solar power projects.

Taisuke Hitomi
He spent 20 years at Japan Long-Term Credit Bank, gaining extensive experience in the investment banking division and serving in both the Singapore and New York branches.
Following his banking career, he transitioned to a private equity firm, where he served as CEO of several medium-sized companies.
He joined PHOTON Group in August 2017, bringing with him a wealth of leadership and financial expertise.

Reijiro Okawa
After starting his career at Showa Leasing, part of the Shinsei Bank Group, and gaining investment banking experience at a domestic securities firm, he joined Ichigo ECO Energy, where he was engaged in solar power plant acquisitions, project management, and infrastructure fund exit transactions. At PHOTON Group, he is engaged in development and asset management, including analysis on domestic solar power plants, financing arrangements, investment execution, investor relations, and project management.

Hiroto Ugajin
He began his career at SB Energy Corporation (now Eurus Energy), where he was engaged in project finance operations from 2013, the early days of Japan’s Feed-in Tariff (FIT) scheme.
He later gained experience in renewable energy operations, including the establishment of Special Purpose Companies (SPCs) and asset management.
He joined PHOTON Group, bringing with him deep expertise in the development and management of renewable energy projects.

Yusuke Nakai
Since 2009, he has been involved in the solar IPP business and system solutions, following the establishment of the renewable energy division at a trading company.
He later joined SB Energy (now Eurus Energy), where he managed renewable energy development projects.
Subsequently, at LONGi Solar, he contributed to the promotion of solar projects both in Japan and overseas, gaining extensive expertise in the renewable energy sector.
At PHOTON Group, he is engaged in project development.

Koji Shibata
After working at an accounting firm and a consulting company, he joined Morimura Shoji, a trading house, where he was responsible for accounting operations.
During his assignment in Shanghai, he gained extensive experience in overall management operations.
At PHOTON Group, he is involved in power plant management, accounting, financing arrangements, and asset management.

Kanehiro Ushiku
He gained experience in both retail and institutional sales at a domestic securities firm.
He later transitioned to the real estate sector, where he was involved in brokerage, property acquisition, and appraisal.
At PHOTON Group, he is engaged in development activities, including project management of solar power plants.
He is also a licensed Real Estate Transaction Agent.

Kotaro Mori
He has over 15 years of experience in the management and operation of real estate assets, including domestic properties (offices, residences, hotels, and commercial facilities) and overseas properties (hotels and residences). Afterwards, he worked at a real estate investment advisory firm, where he was engaged in the asset management of private real estate funds, focusing on office and residential properties. He is also a licensed Real Estate Transaction Agent.

Takuya Iimura
He worked in manufacturing engineering at Koki Holdings (formerly Hitachi Koki), where he was primarily responsible for providing technical guidance on molds and prototypes.
At PHOTON Group, he is involved in the development and technical design of solar power plants.

Kiyotaka Maekawa
He worked at Hokkaido Electric Power Network, where he was engaged in the power transmission and distribution business. His primary responsibilities included maintenance of distribution facilities and conducting low-voltage grid interconnection studies.
At PHOTON Group, he is involved in the development of solar power plants.

Eri Kawabata
She has over 10 years of experience in the real estate industry, covering a broad range of operations including sales, leasing, auctions,and development planning.
She has handled a diverse array of cases for both individual and corporate clients, consistently managing all aspects—from on-site coordination and contract negotiations to administrative processes, as well as legal and tax-related matters.
In particular, she has a proven track record in corporate real estate consulting, overseeing entire projects such as land acquisition for business use, contract execution, and financing arrangements.
